The Boston rockers spew big guitar noise, crafty synths, gripping melodies, and intricate aural theatrics with massive style and ridiculous aplomb. They need to be famous, and toward that end a new EP, "Cellphone," will be released by Dopamine next month. The band celebrates with a local release party Feb. 29 at the Middle East Downstairs.

HFE will drop their debut CELLPHONE[EP] on 2-26-08 in stores everywhere. For those of you that live in the Northeast (USA) you are in luck....

Welcome to the new and improved Dopamine/Amalagate Family Web site. Big thanks to Ira Bronson for designing and putting this together. Make sure you visit his site www.waxlab.net to see more of his vision.

The summer has brought changes to the label starting with our location. After many years of making our home base in Beverly, MA we have moved our operations to quaint, sunny, and scholarly Cambridge, MA. Now, not only do we have better food at our fingertips, we are a bit closer to our favorite clubs in the city. Make sure when you're in town to drop us an e-mail - who knows, one of us may be prepared for a massive bro-down.

We welcome Mr. Victor Hebert and Ms. Minh Luong to the team here at Dopamine. Victor enjoys long walks in Somerville, fine dining at the Eastern Standard, God of War, political docu-dramas, and the Twilight Singers. Minh digs kimchee, the Wrens, cashmere hoodies, Jane Austen, and uni.

April 2006 saw the departure of Dopamine founder Nate Shumaker from our ranks. He's gone on to work full-on towards the completion of the next On Fire record (which we eagerly anticipate), and to work more closely with his blossoming freelance design studio, Northern Lights Industries. We thank him for all of his 10 years of heart, vision and love of music to help Dopamine/Amalagate become what it is today. We wish him luck in all the future endeavors, and he will always remain a friend to the family. CASPIAN FINISHES NEW RECORD

Caspian finished recording the new album at New Alliance. Special thanks to Ethan and the whole N.A. family for their positive spirit and support throughout the process. The record is 60 minutes of material, and will be coming out in early 2007.

CASPIAN WORKING ON NEW FULL-LENGTH RECORD, US TOUR IN OCTOBER

Caspian have been hard at work for the last year writing the yet to be named full length follow up to last year's "You Are The Conductor" (which will hit stores this coming spring). Again they are working with producer/engineer Ethan Dusalt at www.newallianceaudio.com. We have heard a sneak peak of some of the songs from their recent live shows and were left spellbound.
